Discretion & Confidentiality
Your home, your belongings, and your story stay yours.
Last updated October 2026
Inviting someone into your home, and into the objects that hold your history, takes trust. Discretion is not an add-on at Mercury & Soul; it is the foundation of the work. Marisa Corrado Walsh spent more than twenty years in human intelligence, where holding what people entrust to you with care was the job itself. That same discipline governs every engagement here.
Mercury & Soul is a member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and NAPO-WDC, and is bound by NAPO's Code of Ethics, which includes keeping client information confidential.
- Your name, address, and the fact that you are a client are never shared without your permission.
- What we discover together, from family papers and photographs to the stories behind your objects, is not discussed with anyone outside the engagement.
- If a family member or someone else is involved, for example as the person paying, what is shared with them is agreed with you in advance in your Terms of Agreement.
- Trusted donation, recycling, and resale partners receive only the items you choose to release, never your personal information.
Photographs are part of documenting the work, and they are taken only with your consent. Any image ever shared, on this website or elsewhere, is non-identifying: no faces, no addresses, no house numbers, and nothing that would point back to you or your home. You can decline photographs entirely, and that never affects the work.
Kind words from clients are shared only with their permission, and only in the form they approve, often a first name or initials.
What this website collects. When you use the contact form, Mercury & Soul receives the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, phone number if given, your message, and how you heard about Mercury & Soul. If you email directly, your message arrives in Marisa's inbox.
How it is used. Only to respond to you and, if you choose to work together, to arrange and carry out your engagement. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing.
Where it is stored. Form submissions are stored by Squarespace, which hosts this website, and delivered to Marisa by email.
